In order to reduce structural expenditure on the ventilation system for a tube mill ring motor, associated with each stator segment (3, 4, 5, 6) is a ventilator (20) which is disposed centrally on the periphery, or a plurality of ventilators (20) uniformly distributed over the periphery. The ventilator(s) (20) is (are) mounted on the cover (2) of the motor chamber or of a coil end chamber (12) and its (their) air outlet openings (21) are directly connected to the latter. For circulating air ventilation, the cooling devices (20) are disposed on the cover (2') of the other coil end chamber (13) and the air inlet openings (24) of the cooling device are connected directly to this coil end chamber (13). Advantageously, the cooling devices and ventilators are connected via tubes (19) which pass axially through the stator housing (9). |
