A shaped absorbent garment(20) is formed of a shell(22) having an absorbent core(34) positioned between a bodyside liner(31) and a backing sheet(30). The absorbent core(34) is inwardly folded between a forward terminal point(66) and a rearward terminal point(67). The forward and rearward terminal points(66, 67) are spaced apart along the central, longitudinal axis(37) of the shell(22). The shaped absorbent garment(20) includes a narrow crotch section with a vertically-extending channel(80), and front(84) and rear(86) pockets.
