The cabinet consists of a number of bodies (1) which have a simple, prism-like structure with simple geometric base areas. The bodies are connected through vertical outward hinges (2) and stand on trailing rollers. The connected bodies have a chain-like formation, which has different possible movements in the horizontal direction. The furniture bodies serve as containers, their top side being occupied as table tops. The base areas of the prisms are component areas of a geometrical network. The number of the connected bodies is variable according to the requirements, the minimum number being two.
