Insertion connector for pneumatic systems, especially for lorry brakes

The insertion connector is used to join two piping components (10,12) on a pneumatic system. The components have mainly cylindrical end sections (22,24), of which one (24) can be screwed onto, or inserted into, the other (22). The connecting regions of both end sections are surrounded by a sleeve (34), which is connected to one (24) of the components, and which has a hook-shaped circumferential rim (40) which bends outwards or inwards. The sleeve is divided into individual sprung segments by slits (36) which have parallel axes, and which extend away from the rim. The end section of the other component has an annular bead which has a hook-shaped cross section, and which projects inwards or outwards, in order to engage with the rim on the sleeve.
