Automatic banding machine for metal boxes

The banding machine is used to put metal bands round square or rectangular boxes (1). The boxes are transported to the banding machine by a conveyor belt (23). There are rollers and conveyor belts (21,22) which move the boxes on and off a work-table (3) with a turntable in the centre. The table is divided into four sectors (5-8) by grooves (15,15') which accommodate the metal band used for wrapping the boxes. There are windows or cutout (20) in each of the sectors of the turntable to expose lengths of the conveyor belts which move the boxes on and off the turntable. There is a portal frame (11) over the turntable which carries the band up and over the box on the turntable.
