The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting Alzheimer's Disease in a human in need of treatment, which composition comprises an effective amount of a compound of formula I (see fig. I) (I) wherein R1 and R~ may be the same or different provided that, when R1 and R~ are the same, each is a methyl or ethyl group, and, when R1 and R~ are different, one of them is a methyl or ethyl group and the other is hydrogen or a benzyl group; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier.
