<p>A flame retarded thermosetting resin composition comprising (A) an unsaturated polyester resin and (B) a vinyl monomer copolymerizable with said resin (A), further comprising an effective flame retardant amount of (C) melamine and (D) a phosphorus compound, and substantially free of halogen and an unesterified polyol. The composition is self-extinguishing, exhibits low smoke evolution upon ignition and has a low density.</p> |
