PURPOSE:To improve the diagnosing performance for pictures by using the 1st converting means that converts the data on a memory means based on a certain or/and the 2nd converting means that converts the data read out of the memory means based on a certain relation and sends it to a display means. CONSTITUTION:A display control part 612 controls a picture memory 616 and extracts data via a high-speed picture data bus 618 to display them on a CRT. Two look-up tables are prepared for CRT-A64 (LUT-A) and CRT-B65 (LUT-B) and the conversion of density is possible without changing the picture data at all by using both tables LUT-A and LUT-B. While the part 612 magnifies pictures for finer observation of a part of pictures. In addition, the part 612 has the function to select independently whether the 1st or 2nd screen of the memory 616 is displayed on the table CRT-A64 or CRT-B65 respectively.
