<p>PURPOSE:To obviate the need of the troublesome operation for turning ON an electric discharge lamp such as headlight again, by providing a lighting control circuit for controlling the restart of the electric discharge lamp, in the case that the discharge lamp is put out by the operation of an engine starter when a switch for the discharge lamp is kept ON and an engine is in non- operation state. CONSTITUTION:When a switch position detecting circuit 4 detects that a lighting switch is at a turned-ON position and a lighting detecting circuit 5 detects the lighting of an HID lamp (electric discharge lamp) 13, if an engine operation judging circuit 6 judges an engine operation state, a lighting control circuit 10 sends a lighting signal to a lighting circuit 2, independently of the result of the judgment of a starter operation judging circuit 8, and the HID lamp 3 is maintained in a lighting state. However, in this case, if the non-operation state of an engine 7 is judged and the operation of a starter 9 is judged, the HID lamp 3 is once put out by outputting a put-out signal from a lighting control circuit 10. Then, control is performed so that the HID lamp 3 is started again, after the operation of the engine 7 is judged.</p> |
