PURPOSE:To provide a light-selecting functional optical product such as a film obtained from a composition comprising a transparent resin and beads dispersed therein, the beads comprising a transparent polymer and a neodymium compound, and having a sharp adsorption characteristic without deteriorating mechanical characteristics, etc. CONSTITUTION:(A) Beads having a particle diameter of 0.01mum to 5mm and prepared by suspension-polymerizing a polymerizable mixture solution comprising a complex salt obtained from a neodymium carboxylate (e.g. neodymium methacrylate or neodymium propionate) and a carboxylic acid and a polymerizable monomer [e.g. (meth)acrylate ester or styrene] producing a transparent polymer in the presence of a polymerization initiator and subsequently dehydrating, drying and classifying the prepared polymer particles are mixed with (B) a transparent resin composition (e.g. polymethyl methacrylate or polystyrene) and subsequently molded into a desired shape to provide a light-selecting functional optical product selectively absorbing light in a wavelength band near a wavelength of 580nm. |
