PURPOSE:To prevent defective lubrication due to residual air by injecting oil simultaneously or previously and removing air when grease is injected between seals at plural stages arranged between a shield body and a cutter wheel. CONSTITUTION:A grease injecting means 30 and an oil injecting means 40 are installed to seals 21, 22, 23 at plural stages disposed between a shield body 1 and a cutter wheel 2. When grease is injected to each seal 21, 22, 23, oil is injected by operating an oil pump 42 at the same time as or prior to greasing. A grease pump 32 is worked, and grease is injected. Accordingly, air between the seals is removed completely and grease can be filled, thus preventing defective lubrication due to residual air. |
