A camera mount assembly (10) to mount a camera on vertically spaced rails (16,18) of a platform to be elevated by aerial lift equipment, comprises support means including generally horizontal cantilevered sections (32) extending outwardly from or inwardly of a first rail (16) of the platform to support the camera, and vertically extending sections (36) extending downwardly adjacent a second, lower rail (18) of the platform. A latch member (44) can engage the upper rail (16) and a member (74) is provided to engage the lower rail (18), so that weight loading on the assembly is transferred to both the upper (16) and the lower (18) rails.
