<p>An image recognition apparatus by an optical cutting method which has versatility and does not invite shortening of life of projection means. Projection from a light source to a work is kept on from a measurement command until an aperture control operation of an automatic aperture control mechanism of a television camera converges or a state equivalent to this convergence state is reached. The image processing apparatus is caused to execute a processing for acquiring three-dimensional data on the basis of images taken by the television camera immediately after the convergence of the aperture control operation of the automatic aperture control mechanism or immediately after the convergence equivalent state is reached.</p> |
