PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence and adhesion of gumlike stain and to improve hue stability and heat resistance by compounding a polyolefin with a hydrotalcite, a metal salt of a higher fatty acid or an aliph. oxiacid and a specified stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. (hereinbelow merely pts.) polyolefin (A) (e.g., a high- density PE) is compounded with 0.01-0.1 pt. hydrotalcite (B) [e.g., Mg4.5Al2(OH)13 CO3.3.5H2O], a salt of a metal of group II or IV of the periodic table with a higher fatty acid or an aliph. oxyacid (C) (e.g., zinc stearate) and 0.01-1 pt. stabilizer consisting of a phenolic and an org. phosphorus and/or an org. sulfur compd. [e.g., a mixture of 2,6-di-butyl-4-methyl-phenol and pentaerythritol tetrakis-(beta-lauryl-thiopropionate)]. |
