PURPOSE:To obtain an image with a required concn. by providing both a plurality of light sources for fixing emitting lights each with different wave length for fixing images recorded by means of a heat-generating device on a multi-color heat-sensitive recording sheet and a device positioning each light source at the same position facing to a required position of the sheet and making the time from color development to fixing in an equal distance. CONSTITUTION:In this multi-color heat-sensitive recording apparatus 10, a plurality of light sources 20 and 22 for fixing are exchanged at specified positions facing to a multi-color heat-sensitive recording sheet 14 by means of a positioning device. In addition, as the multi-color heat-sensitive recording sheet 14 is carried always by means of a carrying means with a specified speed, a time interval from the time when each color developing layer 32, 30 or 28 is color-developed by feeding each different heat energy from a thermal head 18 which is a heat generating means to each color developing layer 32, 30 and 28 of the multi-color heat-sensitive recording sheet 14 to the time when the color developing layers are carried to each light source 20 and 22 for fixing and fixed, becomes substantially the same.
