PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity and stable potential characteristics even at the time of repeated uses by incorporating a specified low molecular weight compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body contains one of the hydrazone compounds represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, aryl group, or a residue forming a 5- or 6-membered ring together with an N atom; each of R3-R5 is H atom, or optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl group; each of R6 and R7 is optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, or aryl group; and each of Ar1 and Ar2 is optionally same or different and optionally substituted arylene group, thus permitting sensitivity characteristics to be enhanced, and variances of potentials in the light and in the dark at the time of repeated uses of charging and exposure, in crease of residual potential due to environmental changes, especially, drop of temperature, image bleeding, and the like to be improved. |
