PURPOSE: To select and distinguish easily a sheet to be heat transferred by forming cuts at least on a part of the peripheral edge of the sheet to be heat transferred and sensing the number or interval of the cuts. CONSTITUTION: In a system in which a thermal head is operated based on video signals and the like, heating is applied from a rear face of a heat transfer sheet, and a dye in the heat transfer sheet is sublimated onto a sheet to be transferred to provide a multicolor recorded matter, sections 2 of cut shape are formed close to one end of the sheet 1 to be heat transferred. The shape is not necessarily limited to the V-shape but can be the U-shape, half-round shape or the like, and two kinds or more of cuts are combined, or three cuts are formed respectively, or the intervals of respective cuts are varied to acquire the cut sections. The number or interval of respective cuts 2 is read by a photosensor, a wind pressure sensor or the like to select the sheet 1 to be heat transferred fit for a heat transfer sheet device and carry out the recording. |
