PURPOSE:To quickly process picture data consisting of the plural sets of data in parallel by simultaneously processing the picture data of respective picture memory of a picture memory group, where picture data having plural picture information is stored in each picture element, by respective processing units. CONSTITUTION:The picture memory group is provided which has plural picture memories, each of which consists of plural memory elements which are accessed by addressing independently of another memory, correspondingly to the classifications of input picture information. A processing unit group is provided which has plural processing units, each of which consists of plural processor elements corresponding to memory elements and simultaneously processes plural picture elements in the picture memory, correspondingly to picture memories. Thus, a picture processor is obtained which quickly processes picture data consisting of the plural sets of data in parallel. |
