The trains have electrically supplied drive units with programmable logic controls. Control lines are provided for serial data communication between identification modules for the train sections and the control unit in the drive units. An identification module is allocated to the drivers cars, drive units and load carrying hanger with inter bus coupling to the control in the drive unit and identification modules. The current configuration of the train appears on the display unit in the driver's cars. The display also shows the maximum permissible mass of the train, gradient of the rails and possible maximum speeds. When a gallery section is travelled with trains of too high mass, the driver is alerted. If the warning is ignored, the trains are stopped automatically. |
