A puncture resistant envelope is formed from a number of laminae secured together on three edges with a handle 4 on one face and a peel-back adhesive strip along the opening to seal the envelope. The envelope may be used as a dustpan into which sharp objects such as broken glass may be swept and then sealed for safe disposal. Preferably envelope includes a waterproof layer to retain any fluids, a Kevlar (RTM) layer and a bubble wrap layer for cushioning.
