<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently communicate information by assigning the time slot of a B channel for voice/data transmission and that of a D channel for control/ data transmission to each line concentrating and distributing terminal independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:The time slot of the B channel for voice/data transmission and that of the D channel for control/data transmission are assigned independently of each other in accordance with the request from each line concentrating and distributing terminal. That is, only the time slot of the D channel is assigned in case of packet data communication using the D channel. In case of voice communication using the B channel, the time slot of the D channel is first assigned to communicate required call processing control information and the time slot of the B channel is assigned through this time slot of the D channel, and thereafter, the time slot of the D channel is released. Thus, the band of a transmission line is effectively used.</p> |
