<p>PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing a golf club head with which extremely decreased defects, good surface characteristics and high dimensional accuracy are obtainable at a high material yield with a the short time for a secondary fabrication stage. CONSTITUTION: A preform 1 which is internally and hermetically kept and eventually constitutes a head exclusive of a hosel part 1 is joined by maintaining hermeticity to the hosel part 1 which is formed by precision casting, turning of forging, etc., and has a desired product shape. An isostatic pressure of gas or the like is applied into the preform to inflate the preform like balloon and to press the preform to forming molds 23, 25 having the shape of the head installed on the outer side of the preform 11 smaller than the desired product shape, by which the desired golf club head is stably obtd.</p> |
