<p>The duct for fluid transport is made from plastic with rigid section(s) (12) and flexible section(s) (15) to compensate for vibrations and relative movements. The duct is made in one piece, with the rigid and flexible sections of the same or compatible materials. Preferably, the sections are joined together end-to-end by ultrasound welding. The flexible sections can be ribbed and/or braided. The rigid section of the duct is made from fibre-reinforced plastic, such as polyamide, polyamide-polypropylene or butylene polyterephthalate, reinforced with glass fibres. Each of the flexible sections is made from a polyamide-elastomer mixture, a polyamide with a high plasticiser content, a polyamide-polypropylene mixture, a polyester-based elastomer, or a polypropylene-EPDM mixture made compatible with polyamides.</p> |
