PURPOSE:To save power consumption by turning on a power supply for a telephone circuit only for a set termination waiting time. CONSTITUTION:When a user sets up the termination waiting time so that a termination waiting state is held for 5 minutes from exact time such as 1 o' clook, 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock..., a CPU 1 decides whether it is exact time or not based upon an output from a clock circuit 7, and at the time of deciding the exact time, starts a timer in the circuit 7 and turns on the power supplies of the telephone circuit 4, a sound generator 10 and a display device 14 to set up the termination waiting state. Then, a termination waiting sound is generated from the sound generator 10 and the start of termination waiting is informed to the user. When the passage of 5 minutes is decided from the output of the timer, the CPU 1 turns off the power supplies of the circuit 4, the sound generator 10 and the display device 14 and releases the termination waiting state. |
