PURPOSE:To increase wear resistance of an uncoated tablet without applying a coating agent to the uncoated tablet. CONSTITUTION:A tableting composition comprising an active ingredient, an excipient and a low-melting fat and oil substance having about 20-90 deg.C melting point is tableted without coating treatment. A higher fatty acid, its salt, wax, a hardened oil, a fatty acid ester, a polyalkylene oxide, etc., may be cited as the low-melting fat and oil substance and the amount of the low-melting fat and oil substance added is about 0.01-10wt.%. The tableting composition may comprise granulated powder of the active ingredient and the excipient and the powdery or granular low-melting fat and oil substance or granulated powder composed of the active ingredient, the excipient and the low-melting fat and oil substance. When the tableting composition is tableted, even if the amount of the fat and oil substance is a small amount and about 0.1-0.5wt.%, wear resistance of uncoated tablet is raised and occurrence of powder by friction loss can be suppressed. |
