PURPOSE:To miniaturize a heat exchanger by arranging the heat exchanger on the path of exhaust gas system of a hydrogen fueled engine to recover latent heat from exhaust gas through the direct contact of the heat exchanger with exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas discharged from a hydrogen fueled engine 1 is introduced into a gas condenser 6 as a heat exchanger. Water 7a as the medium of the heat exchanger is stored in the gas condenser 6. Since the exhaust gas is directly blown into the water 7a, the water becomes warm by collecting latent heat from the exhaust gas, so that the latent heat can be recovered very efficiently from steam, making it possible to miniaturize the heat exchanger.
