<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject new derivative, hardly causing dust, easy to baudle and useful as an intermediate, etc., for producing cephem-based antibiotic substances by reacting 2-aminothiazol-4-yl-2-hydroxyiminoacetic acid with an organic halide. SOLUTION: This new thiazoleacetic acid ammonium salt derivative is represented by formula I (R<1> is a protecting group of amino group; R<2> is an aralkyl or an acyl; B<+> is tertiary ammonium cation), has a high bulk specific gravity and high safety, hardly causes dust when carging thereof into a reactor and is useful as an intermediate, etc., for producing medicines such as cephem- based antibiotic substances. The new compound is obtained by reacting a 2- substituted aminothiazol-4-yl-2-hydroxyiminoacetic acid represented by formula II with an organic halide represented by the formula R<2> -X (X is a halogen) (e.g. trityl chloride) in the presence of a tertiary amine.</p> |
