<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have the laying status of a submarine cable secured on a laying ship by the operation on the sea bottom side by a method wherein a plurality of warning lamp operating switches are provided on the sea bottom side and a plurality of warning switches are turned on and off by the operation of an operator on the sea bottom side and the laying status on the sea bottom side is communicated to the ship side so as to be monitored visibly. SOLUTION: A warning line 8 is installed between a laying ship 1 side and a cable burying machine 6 on a sea bottom 2 side and a plurality of warning lamps 9 are provided on the laying ship 1 side. The meanings of the colors and the lit states of the lamps 9 are defined beforehand as an arrangement. On the other hand, a plurality of warning lamp lighting switches 10 are provided on the burying machine 6 main part on the sea bottom 2 so as to correspond to a plurality of the warning lamps 9. On the sea bottom 2 side, an operator 4 watches the actual cable laying status and closes the warning lamp lighting switches 10 to light the warning lamps 9 on the laying ship 1 side through the warning line 8. As a result, the cable laying status on the sea bottom 2 side can be secured on the laying ship 1 side.</p> |
