TRIMMING PROCESSOR FOR IMAGE DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data trimming processor capable of quickly executing the trimming processing of image data and reducing memory capacity to be used for the processing. SOLUTION: Data are extracted from an image data storing part 5 in accordance with trimming request data 2 outputted from a master processing part 1. In this case, the coordinates of bent points of a trimming shape are stored in a trimming data storing part 4. A trimming coordinate calculating part 7 in the processing part 3 calculates the coordinates of the outer periphery of the trimming shape from the coordinates of the bent points. An image data development processing part 8 extracts image data included within an outer peripheral coordinate range from the image data storing part 5 and developes the extracted data on a memory 9 and a plotting part 10. Consequently trimmed image data can be directly obtained, the processing can be accelerated and the memory capacity can be reduced.
