PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to access direction information easily and rapidly. SOLUTION: A system has a memory M for storing data, a position sensor unit L for determining a position, a control unit C, an input unit I, an image memory P, and a display screen D. The display screen D is suited for showing at least two types of display that an operator can select via an input unit and a first type of display 2 is a map 2 with a momentary position 3. In the first type of display 2, a direction symbol 4 can be displayed via the control unit C. The direction symbol provides the operator with direction information and locates it at a position to be determined in advance on the display screen D. The direction symbol is displayed by the first type of display and at least another type of display. |
