<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-piece solid golf ball which has a large carry, a good ball fitting feel and controllability. SOLUTION: The two-piece solid golf ball consisting of a solid core 1, an intermediate layer 2 and a cover 3 is so formed that the thickness of this cover 3 attains 1 to 3mm, the modulus of elasticity at -30 to +20 deg.C attains 1000 to 9000kgf/cm<2> and the loss tangent attains 0.02 to 0.1. This intermediate layer 2 is so formed that the thickness of the intermediate layer attains 1 to 3mm, the modulus of elasticity at -30 to +20 deg.C attains 5000 to 20000kgf/cm<2> , the min, value of the modulus of elasticity in this temp. range is larger than the min, value of the modulus of elasticity of the cover at -30 to +20 deg.C and the loss tangent attains <=0.15. The above solid core 1 is so formed that the diameter attains 30.7 to 38.7mm and the spring constant (ratio of load to displacement) at the time of compressibly deforming the solid core 1 attains 20 to 55kgf/mm.</p> |
