摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce memory access and to accelerate a rendering procedure by using surface decision, classifying the list of triangles from an image file beforehand, processing the front surface of a scene and processing a back surface thereafter. SOLUTION: An object 410 is normally provided with plural surfaces such as the surface 420, 430 and 440, etc. The respective surfaces are mosaicked so as to be expressed as the strip of the triangle such as the triangles 450-480 on the surface 420, the triangles 490-520 on the surface 430 and the triangles 530-540 on the surface 440, etc. Each triangle is provided with a vector vertical to the virtual surface related to it. For instance, the triangle 450 is turned to the front surface in the case that the dot product of the vector NV and the vector EV is positive and turned to the back surface in the other cases. Generally, the front surface is stored in mutually close addresses inside a memory and the back surface is stored in the close addresses similarly. Thus, the probability of generating the cache errors of the memory is substantially reduced by separately processing the front surface and the back surface.
