DIGITAL SIGNAL DECODER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input desired image data and sound data to decoder not by using an external signal generator without providing a special interface section to an external device. SOLUTION: A CPU 11 reads coded image data or sound data stored in a ROM 12 and writes the data to an SRAM 5 ancillary to a demultiplexer 4. The coded image or sound data are read from the SRAM 5 and given to an MPGE video decoder 6 or an MPEG audio decoder 7, in which the data are decoded.
