PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device for an automobile, which shows an excellent energy absorbing efficiency in reducing a head impact speed even in the case of a center pillar having a small lateral (right and left) dimensions. SOLUTION: A seat belt device is provided with a bolt member 7, which fixes a seat belt anchor plate 5 which supports a seat belt 3 and through which the seat belt 3 goes, a slider 9, which has a nut member with which the bolt member 7 is screwed, a belt anchor 51 including a seat belt adjuster rail 11, which supports the slider 9 in a vertically movable manner, and a pillar panel 55, which supports the seat belt adjuster rail 11 of the seat belt anchor 51. On the surface of the pillar panel 55, which is arranged on the outdoor side (313 of the seat belt adjuster rail 11, being parted from the seat belt adjuster rail 11, a plurality of blocking parts 63 are arranged in such a manner that the free end part (of the blocking part 63) approaches the seat belt adjuster rail 11 (side) and that they intersect the seat belt adjuster rail 11 at a right angle. |
