<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform screen operation manually and to smoothly execute conference presentation by detecting a position on a display which is light and indicated with a light beam pointer. SOLUTION: A display means 2 is a large-sized display, etc., for enlarging and displaying a display screen of an image information source. The light beam pointer is an infrared-ray point, etc., which irradiates and indicates an arbitrary position on the image display on the display 2. A detecting means 4 is provided additionally to the display means 2 and detects the position of the light beam pointer 3 irradiating the display means 2. An indication information processing means 5 generates position coordinates on the image information source 1 according to the position information on the light beam pointer 3 detected by the detecting means 4 and gives an instruction for executing a function on the display screen of the image information source 1. Thus, a desired position is indicated with the light beam pointer as if a personal computer was operated with a cursor and a mouse pointer to perform screen operation on the enlarged and displayed screen.</p> |
