SOLUTION: When the starting of an engine demanded at S212, the number Ni of idle revolutions being a target during starting and an air amount Qi necessary to maintenance of Ni are determined at S213. The Ni and the Qi are then set to the target number Ne* and a target intake air amount Q* at S214. The torque command values Tm1 and Tm2 of motors MG1 and MG2 are set at S216 and S218 to generate cranking torque by the MG1 and MG2 and the MG1 and MG2 are controlled at S220 and S222. Thereafter, an intake air amount is regulated to Q* by arc ISC at S224. Stability of Ne and Q is waited and fuel injection control and ignition timing control are started at S230 and an engine is started. In which case, a fuel injection amount and an ignition timing are determined according to the Ne* and Q*.
