<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the displacement of an endless belt in the width direction and reduce the damage of end sections by exciting regulating members so that the endless belt is displaced and the force applied from the endless belt is absorbed by springs when tension is applied to the endless belt and the endless belt is returned to the initial position by the force applied from the regulating members when the tension is released. SOLUTION: When a travel is started while tension is applied to a transfer belt 5, the transfer belt 5 starts to be displaced to the right or left direction, and force is applied to the inside surfaces of regulating plates 26a from the side faces of the transfer belt 5. The transfer belt 5 is displaced to the right or left direction while this force is absorbed by springs 26b. When the printing operation is finished and the rotation of the transfer belt 5 is stopped, the applied tension is released, the transfer belt 5 is pressed inward by the exciting force applied from the springs 26b via the regulating plates 26a and displaced and returned to the initial position. The damage of belt end sections is suppressed, and the displacement in the direction perpendicular to the traveling direction can be prevented.</p> |
