PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound manifesting an excellent cell adhesion inhibiting activity, and used for the prevention and the treatment of peripheral arterial obstruction, a cardiovascular disease, etc., by culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus of Streptomyces and having TAN-2161A, B production capability. SOLUTION: This new TAN-2161A compound has a molecular formula: C26 H40 N6 O8 , exhibits maximum values (ε) in an ultraviolet part (UV) absorption spectrum at 214±3nm (20400±3000), 240±3nm (10700±1500), 277±3nm (10900±1500) and 470±3nm (38500±6000), and main absorptions (wave length, cm<-1> ) in an infrared absorption spectrum (in KBr tablet) at 3250, 2930, 1720, 1690, 1620, 1540, 1520, 1440, 1350, 1050 and 950 and useful as a cell adhesion inhibiting agent. The compound is obtained from a microorganism belonging to the genus of Streptomyces and having a production capability of compounds TAN-2161A and/or B [e.g.; Streptomyces sp AL-64335 (FERM BP-5386), etc.]. |
