<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst for olefin polymerization easy in handling and high in polymerization activity by using a novel transition metal compound expressed by a formula, an organic aluminum oxy compound as a cocatalyst and a Lewis acidic compound or an ionic compound in combination. SOLUTION: The catalyst for olefin polymerization is prepared by combining the novel transition metal expressed by formula I (in the formula, M expresses a group 1V transition metal in periodic table, RQ(Pz)3 expresses a neutral trispyrazolyl ligand having 3 pyrazolyl groups bonded with Q, Q expresses carbon, silicon, germanium, tin or lead, each of R and X expresses hydrogen, a 1-24C alkyl group, an allyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an amino group or an oxyhydrocarbon group and Y expresses oxygen, sulfur, selenium or tellurium), the organic aluminum oxy compound as the cocatalyst and the Lewis acidic compound or the ionic compotmd.</p> |
