PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer superior in mechanical strength which is made to suppress piezoelectric members from being broken or microscopically cracking due to an internal stress caused at polarizing. SOLUTION: A drive part A having alternately laminated driving electrodes 12a-12f and piezoelectric members polarized in the thickness direction is disposed at one side of a unit type plate-like piezoelectric transformer and a generator B composed of generating electrodes 21 and piezoelectric members polarized in the length direction is disposed at the other side of the transformer. The degree of polarization of at least either driving part A or generator B at the boundary of both A and B is less than that of each of the parts A and B at a position distant therefrom. |
