PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glucomannan-containing process food free from bitterness and rough touch, by treating a sol substance of devil's tongue or dried devil's tongue powder with another processed food material by methods such as stirring/blending/kneading/impregnation/dissolution/heating/cooling/fr eezing/pressurizing, etc. SOLUTION: Devil's tongue powder or purified glucomannan (both having a water content from zero to five times as much as the devil's tongue powder, etc., or lower by weight) or a sol substance composed of the devil's tongue powder, etc., and water is directly treated with another processed food by methods such as stirring/blending, etc., to give a glucomannan-containing processed food having an integrated feeling with the other processed food in a shorter time. The prepared low-calorie food has neither feeling of physical disorder nor bitterness, caused by addition of a coagulating agent such as an alkali coagulating agent and a coagulating substance such as agar and is also effective as measure to counter diabetes. |
