PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bad influence on the signal recording/reproducing operation caused by the generation of distorsion and deformation on a fixed drum due to stress at the fixing work when a magnetic recording/reproducing drum is mounted on a magnetic tape running mechanism in a magnetic recorder using the magnetic recording/reproducing drum. SOLUTION: In the magnetic recording/reproducing device provided with the magnetic recording/reproducing drum consisting of the fixed drum 12 to be fixed to a drum base 11 and a rotary drum rotating along a center shaft, flanged projecting parts 11c are arranged on the drum base 11 or the fixed drum 12, then the rigidity of the connected parts is reduced by fixing the drum base 11 and the magnetic recording/reproducing drum with the use of mounting members at the projecting parts 11c.
