MATERIAL FOR PREVENTING FORMATION OF DIOXINS IN INCINERATOR AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of dioxins in an incinerator by injecting an adsorbent for absorbing a dioxin precursor in the incinerator. SOLUTION: A treating device is constituted so that at least an incinerator 1, an electric precipitator 2 and a gas purifier 3 may be included. A feed material 4 is buried in the incinerator 1, waste gas 5 is sent to the next treating process, and bottom ash 6 is discharged. Fly ash 7 is removed by the electric precipitator 2, and furthermore, waste gas is discharged (8) through a gas purifier 3. Since in the electric precipitator 2 which becomes at <=400 deg.C, a dioxin precursor adsorbed on an active part of the fly ash 7 is reacted to form dioxin, at at least one or more points of those A, B, C,... preceding the electric precipitator 2, an adsorbent is fed to adsorb the dioxin precursor, thereby preventing the occurrence of dioxin. Moreover, at each point, plural feeding means may be installed.
