<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the overflow of an output buffer by previously measuring the buffer occupation quantity of an output line and previously increasing the capacity of output buffer of the line having the most occupation quantity. SOLUTION: A comparator circuit 120 compares the measured values of output buffer occupation quantity measured values 40-42 of respective output lines 1-N, judges which line has the output buffer where ATM cells are most concentrated and outputs a maximum occupation quantity line number 43. The output of an auxiliary output buffer 122 is outputted to 2:1 selectors 123-125 as a selected line output ATM cell signal 31 and concerning these selectors, only the 2:1 selector of the line shown by the maximum occupation quantity line number 43 selects the selected line output ATM cell signal 31 outputted from the auxiliary output buffer 122 but the other lines respectively directly apply outputs 32-34 from output buffers 111-113 to output terminals D, E and F except the selected line.</p> |
