PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image memory highly precisely outputting color mixture by means of a memory of a comparatively small capacity. SOLUTION: When color data C, M, Y and K read by a scanner are inputted, each color data is respectivelyγ-corrected by table for monochrome 21a to 21d and sent to aγtable for color mixture 22. IN conversion at theγtable for color mixture 22, eight nearest grid points (C1, C2, M1, M2, Y1, Y2, K1 and K2) are obtained from values obtained by theγ-correction of monochrome. Arithmetic interpolation is executed through the use of a linear interpolation method from the obtained grid points. Next, a value obtained byγ-corrected monochrome value and the result of arithmetic interpolation are added to send this added data C', M', Y', and K' to the buffer printer 31 of an image output device. |
