PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply lining even to the bottom part of a manhole and to prevent the upward levitation of a lining material SOLUTION: This manhole lining material 1 constituted by infiltrating a thermosetting resin into a bag-shaped resin absorbing material having a highly airtight plastic film applied to the outer peripheral surface thereof and closed at one end thereof is inserted into a manhole 12 and a tubular in-liner 19 having high airtightness is subsequently inserted into the lining material 1 while reversed by compressed air pressure (fluid pressure) and the open end of the in-liner 19 is closed to form a hermetically closed space S in the lining material. Compressed air pressure (fluid pressure) is allowed to act on the hermetically closed space S to press the lining material 1 and the in-liner 19 to the inner wall of the manhole 12 and the thermosetting resin infiltrated into the lining material 1 is heated in this state to be cured and, thereafter, the in-liner 19 is removed to line the manhole 12.
