PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector by which size reduction in a housing can be attained and switch operation can be performed even if an inserting position of a plug is in a comparatively wide range. SOLUTION: Connection with a break terminal 30 is cut off by insertion of a plug, and a coil spring 42 is used in a movable contact part 44 of a switch terminal 40 contacting with a signal terminal 61 of the plug, and size reduction in a housing 9 is attained. Since its plate width is not restricted by a spring characteristic like a leaf spring piece, the movable contact part 44 can be formed in the shape that comes into contact with the plug in a wide range, and switch operation can be performed even in either contact position.
