摘要

PURPOSE:To facilitate easy selection of the directional characteristics by securing the parallel electrical connection among plural microstrip antennas formed on a dielectric substrate. CONSTITUTION:A discoid antenna element 1 is formed on the surface of a dielectric substrate 4; while a grand plane 2 is formed on the rear side of the substrate 4. Thus a microstrip antenna is obtained. Such an antenna has the unidirectional characteristics. Two such microstrip antennas are set vertical to each other with their planes 2 turned in parallel to each other. Thus the bidirectional characteristics can be obtained. Furthermore the orthogonal directivity is also secured by setting those planes 2 orthogonal to each other. Thus it is possible to select easily the directional characteristics of an antenna.
