PURPOSE:To improve both the flexibility and the operability of a menu switch processing system by changing directly the display contents of both a system menu and a user menu only when the switch is allowed by a menu processing environment information file between the user and system menus. CONSTITUTION:A menu processing environment setting part 12 displays a menu processing environment setting screen and sets the menu processing environment information at an operating environment file 19 for decision whether the switch should be allowed between a system menu 22 and a user menu 23 for each user. A menu switch permission deciding part 14 reads the file 19 according to the retrieving result of a user control list 18 and decides whether the switch of menus is permitted or not in terms of the menu processing environment information. If the menu switch is permitted, a menu switch permitting part 15 displays an instruction for a menu switching operation. Thus both the flexibility and the operability are improved for a menu switch processing system.
