PURPOSE:To perform smooth interpolation to obtain a picture easy to see by making affine transformation continuous with respect to time and applying this affine transformation to a first picture to estimate a picture at an arbitrary time. CONSTITUTION:Moment features F1 and F2 of a picture I1 at a time (n) and a picture I2 at a time n+1 are calculated by moment calculating parts 3 and 4, and a weighted average F(t)=(1-t)F1+tF2 in a time n+t of these moment features is calculated by a moment linear sum calculating part 5. Affine transformation G(t) to transform the moment feature F1 of the picture I1 to the moment feature F(t) calculated by the linear sum calculating part is calculated by an affine transformation calculating part 6. This calculated affine transformation G(t) is applied to the picture I1 by an affine transformation executing part 7 to obtain an intermediate picture It.
